Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Collection Floral Hello You

I was inspired to pick up this set from the Spellbinders Sylish Oval collection again, to recreate another card from the Crop & Creste Delivered event. Using the same two color ways as my previous post I used only one layer from the Infinity plate and kept the floral spray in one piece this time.

I die cut the “Hello You” sentiment twice, and layered it together to give it a bit of dimension.

I used a pre foiled sentiment from a Pink Fresh Studios sentiment ephemera pack that I had in my stash so that I could vary the sentiments for this design.

HELPFUL HINT: Use a shim with these dies! I just grab a scrap piece of card stock and lay it on top of my die cut ‘sandwich’ to add just a bit of extra pressure that is needed to cut all the way through every detail in these plates.

Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms Sending Hugs Card

Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms layering stencils always deliver! Just choose your color palette and it’s easy to make beautiful cards.

This project was part of the Crop & Create delivered Spring 2023 Taylored Expressions workshop; but I modified my version to have a different sentiment with a Pink Fresh Studios foiled Sending Hugs sentiments in silver.

These are the colors of Taylored Expressions inks I used for this card

  • Spearmint
  • Pink Champagne (ink and card stock accent strips)
  • Mulled Wine

Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral Collection In Blush Pink and Glacier Blue

As an attendee of Crop & Create Delivered – Spring 2023 this collection was the Spellbinders class. Exclusive early access to this collection I am grateful for, as it is absolutely gorgeous and already sold out in many places!

I used Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral Etched Dies from the Stylish Ovals Collection and Spellbinders Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Dies from the Stylish Ovals Collection

The Infinity Punch plate is absolutely gorgeous, but I found I needed to add a scrap piece of cardstock on top of my total plate stack to add a bit more pressure. I loved that each layer could be used together, or separately. Mixing colors together and using a bit of foam tape to pop up some of the layers really shows off the intricacy of this Infinity plate.

Adding shading to the leaves and petals of the flowers really gives dimension to each piece – I only used two different greens for the leaves, but the inking made it look so much more dimensional

Don’t be afraid to cut your die cut pieces apart! Using the large stem piece, I cut it in half and it gave me lots of structure and base to create the layout I chose for these cards.

Changing the color pallet on each card really gives these such a different look & feel. Whether its just a because card, for a wedding or sympathy card, these florals can be used for anything just by adjusting your color pallet.
