Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Collection Floral Hello You

I was inspired to pick up this set from the Spellbinders Sylish Oval collection again, to recreate another card from the Crop & Creste Delivered event. Using the same two color ways as my previous post I used only one layer from the Infinity plate and kept the floral spray in one piece this time.

I die cut the “Hello You” sentiment twice, and layered it together to give it a bit of dimension.

I used a pre foiled sentiment from a Pink Fresh Studios sentiment ephemera pack that I had in my stash so that I could vary the sentiments for this design.

HELPFUL HINT: Use a shim with these dies! I just grab a scrap piece of card stock and lay it on top of my die cut ‘sandwich’ to add just a bit of extra pressure that is needed to cut all the way through every detail in these plates.

Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms Sending Hugs Card

Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms layering stencils always deliver! Just choose your color palette and it’s easy to make beautiful cards.

This project was part of the Crop & Create delivered Spring 2023 Taylored Expressions workshop; but I modified my version to have a different sentiment with a Pink Fresh Studios foiled Sending Hugs sentiments in silver.

These are the colors of Taylored Expressions inks I used for this card

  • Spearmint
  • Pink Champagne (ink and card stock accent strips)
  • Mulled Wine

Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral Collection In Blush Pink and Glacier Blue

As an attendee of Crop & Create Delivered – Spring 2023 this collection was the Spellbinders class. Exclusive early access to this collection I am grateful for, as it is absolutely gorgeous and already sold out in many places!

I used Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral Etched Dies from the Stylish Ovals Collection and Spellbinders Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate Etched Dies from the Stylish Ovals Collection

The Infinity Punch plate is absolutely gorgeous, but I found I needed to add a scrap piece of cardstock on top of my total plate stack to add a bit more pressure. I loved that each layer could be used together, or separately. Mixing colors together and using a bit of foam tape to pop up some of the layers really shows off the intricacy of this Infinity plate.

Adding shading to the leaves and petals of the flowers really gives dimension to each piece – I only used two different greens for the leaves, but the inking made it look so much more dimensional

Don’t be afraid to cut your die cut pieces apart! Using the large stem piece, I cut it in half and it gave me lots of structure and base to create the layout I chose for these cards.

Changing the color pallet on each card really gives these such a different look & feel. Whether its just a because card, for a wedding or sympathy card, these florals can be used for anything just by adjusting your color pallet.

Zesty Lemon Die & Pink Fresh Studio Hot Foil Sentiment

I had cut a few extra pieces from my first Zesty Lemon card, so I thought I would create this card based on a card Chari Moss created for Lawn Fawn’s release of the set recently.

I didn’t have the dies to create the stripes so I used what I had in my stash. The Pink Fresh sentiment in gold hot foiled on white card stock gave it a classic look that could be given to anyone (even our favourite guy). Using the same buttercup yellow glitter paper I created just the slightest drop shadow for the hot fouled sentiment that gave it that extra subtle pop.

Lawn Fawn Zesty Lemon

Well hello Sunshine!! Summer is here and I just could not wait to dig into the Lawn Fawn Zesty Lemon die set!

So easy to use, just a two shades of card stock for each fruit, adding a bit of super easy inking with daubers gives each piece so much more dimension and fun. And of course I had to add glitter!! So a hint of buttercup yellow glitter paper behind Lawn fawn’s new Gotta Have Gingham pattern paper was just what the card needed to add that final touch.

Mama Elephant Milkshake Slimline Card

Shakin’ It Up with Sweetness! 🥤✨

If you’ve got a sweet tooth for stamping, you’re going to love this adorable slimline card featuring some seriously scrumptious goodness from Mama Elephant!

This card is all about milkshake magic and happy little critters living their best dessert life. I created a fun candy shop scene using a pink ombré ink-blended background and filled it with sugary details — oversized milkshakes, rainbow lollies, strawberry accents, and the cutest characters you ever did see.

The stamps and coordinating dies from Mama Elephant make it easy to build whimsical scenes like this one. I arranged the elements across a scalloped slimline frame to give everything space to shine. Glossy droplets and a sprinkle of shimmer add a final touch of sparkle and texture — because who doesn’t love a little whipped cream on top?

💡 Craft tip: When working with busy scenes, keep your color palette cohesive by repeating colors across elements — it helps everything feel playful and polished!

Perfect for birthdays, thank-yous, or just sending some cheer — this card is as joyful as it is sweet.

What’s your go-to milkshake flavor? Let me know in the comments — I might have to turn it into my next card!

Mama Elephant Me And My Dinosaur with Scenescapes Builder Slimline Pop Up Box Card

Mama Elephant knocks it out of the park again and again – each new release they drop leaves me excited, and broke 😛

My latest haul included Me and My Dinosaur stamp & die set, along with this Slimline Scenescapes builder die set. This was my first go at using the Scenescapes Builder set, and it didn’t quite turn out as saw it in my head. Does that ever happen to you too?
Once I had it all assembled, I realized it needed a bit more something for the background, but the Dinosaur’s made it super cute so I still kept it instead of disassembling it and starting from scratch.

Assembly of the Slimline Scenescape Builder is actually pretty easy – MaMa Elephant has a great video showing the assembly of the card base, and having assembled pop-up-box cards before, it was actually pretty easy.

I am going to have another try at making a project with this Scenescape builder die set again soon – stay tuned!

Sizzix Cupcake Card Die ~ Pink & Sparkly!

I have had this Sizzix cupcake for for a while now, and I had a stroke of inspiration when I saw Doodlebug’s Hey Cupcake enamel sprinkles in my local craft supply store. I knew I had to pull out this die set to make a card with these cute sprinkles!

The construction of the cupcake was super easy – I used 110lb card-stock for the base, cut just above the score line to allow a top folding card base.

Using foam tape under the cupcake base and ‘icing’ layers gave it just the right pop of dimension; and a C00 Coptic marker to lightly add in some shading to create more dimension in the icing.

A white gel pen & crystal effects added a perfect gloss on the cherry – glued flat to the icing layer.

Sweet As A Peach

I just can’t get enough of this Sweet As A Peach stamp set!!! CASED from a pin on Pinterest, I modified the design to make it my own.

Using sponge daybeds to add that hint of secondary colours on the flowers, peach and leaves is such an easy way to add dimension to the stamped images.

Sweet As A Peach with Stampin Up

Summer is in full swing, and Stampin Up’s Sweet As A Peach collection is the perfect suite to kick it off!

Using the Sweet As A Peachg 12×12 Designer Series Paper (DSP) along with the photopolymer stamps and coordinating dies, I used sponge daubers to ink the peaches (stamped in pale papaya) and inked for dimension with calypso coral. Pear pizazz was used to stamp the leaves, and the lightest yellow I had to create the flowers.
