My Favorite Things MFT Squeeze The Day

Jenoblade is my favorite illustrator with the My Favorite Things team. I just love the chubby adorable critter sets she creates – and each set has supporting images to easily create many different scenes.

This card was inspired by one of the design team members projects (nickynoocards) from the release. And with summer just around the corner here in the Pacific Northwest I was inspired to create with this set as soon as I got it.

I very often make cards with no sentiment so that I can keep them on hand for whatever occasion may come up.

This stamp & coordinating die set is available on the My Favorite Things website now – thanks for taking the time to stop by! đź’›

My Favorite Things Gingerbread Greetings Card Kit

My Favorite Things really hit it out of the park with this Gingerbread Greetings card kit! The second I saw a preview I knew I had to have it.

Using the MFT snowfall stencil with Lawn Fawn pearl paste over a lightly blended distress ink background with spun sugar I recreated a background from one of the design team examples.

Using Kraft card stock with a very light splatter of Distress Oxide ink in gathered twigs to give it some texture, I also added just a light hint of shading to all the gingerbread pieces with Oxide gathered twigs as well to give it that freshly baked look.

I love this kit, and have so many more ideas on color combinations to use and various layouts I can do.

Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Collection Floral 60th Birthday Shaker Card

My partners sister was having her 60th birthday & I knew I needed to create something memorable for the big milestone.

I had some assembled pieces left from my previous card with this set, so I created a few more and changed up the layout a bit to suit the occasion

Inspired by a card that Cathy Zielskie made, I used the My Favorite Things numbers die set to make the shaker focal point.

I decided to go with a hot fouled sentiment from a spellbinders set I had, to tie in a bit more gold on the card.

My Favorite Things Recipe For Happiness – You’re Souper!

This set is one of the super versatile sets where changing the color way gives you a totally different look.

Just like in my other card I made from this set, I found adding just a hint of a stencilled background made a big difference in reducing the white space and really allowing the focus image to pop!

The MFT blue beyond card stock, ink and matching copics (B14) really have this card a whole different look than my first project with this set.

My Favorite Things Recipe For Happiness ~ You’re Flippin’ Awesome!

Sometimes just a few elements on a card are just enough! This Chef image from the My Favorite Things Recipe For Happiness stamp set and the kitchen utensils were so fun to use, and with the gingham patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Gingham 6×6 paper pad it was perfect

I added a very light dusting of grey stenciled brick to the background to add a bit of dimension to the card, and offset the starkness of the white paper and the white of the chef’s outfit.

I hope you like this card as much as I liked making it!
