It’s always a happy day in my house when I get new orders, especially when it’s new LAWN FAWN! This recent release included some new colors to Lawn Fawn’s dye ink pad family – there are now 27 colors in the collection, with a few more expected to be added throughout this year. (YAY!)
I have created swatches of all of the colors, and have shown each of the new colors in a group with similar inks from previous releases so you can see how they coordinate together. In this new collection release, Lawn Fawn added:
Here are my swatches – the full collection, and then each of the new colors with their color families.

Happy Crafting Everyone!
I have been really in to the shabby chic, ‘prettier’ cards lately. As you know, generally my style is more on the cutesy side, but I have been making an effort to diversify my skills and I have been trying out papers and collections that I have really loved.
This Gilded Lily collection from Graphic 45 was no exception. I had the opportunity to create a gorgeous album with this collection at the CHA summer show in Chicago this past summer and I really loved how versatile the paper and chipboards are!
I needed to make a birthday card for a co-worker and I knew she would appreciate something pretty – so I pulled out my Graphic 45 and leafed through the stack and decided on the two papers from the collection.

Here is a list of supplies if you would like to make this card at home! Just comment below if you would like to have the measurements for this card & I will be happy to share that with you!
Thanks for stopping by & happy crafting!
I recently attended a class at my local craft store. I very rarely attend classes anymore, but I knew I just had to go when I saw that the new Kaisercraft Fairy dust collection was featured for this class. The talented Denise designed 4 gorgeous card for us, and when the class was over, we were left with scraps of paper to take home. I went home and immediately sat down and created 3 more 4bar notecards with the scraps! The paper in this Fairydust collection is just gorgeous, and is really, really easy to use. One of my challenges in crafting is using more patterned paper – and this collection has really gotten my creative juices flowing!
I ordered 2 more full pads of the paper and the coordinating Collectables ephemera and have been going to town creating!
The lavender and seafoam green colors are so versatile and brightens up the winter blahs! Here are the cards I created – I would be happy to share the measurements with you, just leave a comment for which card ❤
There is a list of the supplies I used listed below for you to check out to see if any of these would make a nice addition to your craft stash. One thing that is great about this paper collection, is it’s 6.5″ square, a half inch bigger than a standard 6×6 stack! That means more paper to use & work with 😀 I can tell you I love this paper so much I bought two 6.5″ stacks!
Hello Stampers,
It’s that time again! Each year Stampin Up has a great promotion where you can earn FREE product for every $60 you spend. And the selection you can choose from is AWESOME, from photopolymer stamps, to foiled vellum to Project Life, the choices are gorgeous!
For this project I chose to use the ‘two-step’ photopolymer set “What I Love” that I earned for free with a $60 purchase.
A ‘two-step’ stamp is one that has multiple stamp images that layer together to make a single image. I love that Stampin Up creates the tabs you see in the video that really help with placement to make sure that you get a proper stamped imaged every time!
Here is my video tutorial on how to make the project – I hope you like it!
To follow along, here are the measurements for the card stock & supplies you will need to create this project at home:

Are you new to watercoloring for card makers? Watercoloring with Stampin Up inks & a waterbrush is much easier than it seems! I love the illustrative style of the balloons on this Honeycomb Happiness stamp set that is one of the FREE stamp sets for Sale A Bration 2016.
Stamping the balloon images in Stayzon black ink, I added Soft Sky ink to the sky for a background, then colored the balloons with Blushing Bride and adding a touch of Smoky Slate to the bows.
The absolutely-to-die-for new Blushing Bride glimmer paper tiny dot accents and heart I punched out with the owl punch – I love how versatile the Owl Builder punch is! The super nifty little honeycomb embellishment is new to the Stampin Up in the Occasions 2016 catalog. They come in 3 different colors: Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and the white as pictured below.
Stampin Up always comes out with such great releases and I can’t wait for you all to see the new Sale-A-Bration mini catalog, and of course, the Occasions Spring Mini catalog.
Don’t forget to stop by again soon ~ the video for this project will be available on my YouTube channel after January 5th 😉

When I first saw Tim Holtz Crazy Birds, I knew they would be pretty much perfect for anything watercolor. So, when I first got my Kuretake Clean Color Real Brush pens I thought I would have a go at coloring those awesome crazy birds.
My first attempt stunk. Like really not good. So I put them aside a little frustrated at having investing in them and stinking at it, until recently when I visited my local craft store I was shown how much of a difference it makes to use proper watercolor paper (Thanks Natalie)! This is the Strathmore cold press watercolor paper and it really makes a huge difference in the performance of the pens when watercoloring! If you ever find that you are not getting great results from your pens, try investing in some good quality watercolor paper, Strathmore cold press can be inexpensive with a coupon from Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Joann’s, but the Tim Holtz watercolor paper is by far the best choice for card makers: it has the best smooth finish and is the lightest weight (thin) but still gives great watercolor performance.
Want to make this card at home too? Here are the supplies I used to make this project:
It’s week four of the Share Handmade Kindness Challenge hosted by Jennifer Mcguire. This week’s recipient: strangers. I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to create a card for Jennifer’s card shower.
I created this shaker card using the Hero Arts stamp created in partnership with Jennifer for the Share Handmade Kindness initiative. Stamping with Stayzon never works well for me – thank goodness for my Misti!! I had to double stamp this for the sentiment to show as boldly as I wanted so my Misti was the shining star for this project for sure 🙂
The sequins & confetti were from Simon Says Stamp (moonshine sequins, Pretty Pink Posh gold confetti) – and the tiny hear confetti’s are from a Martha Steward pack; although I have found a great indie shop that has a TON of fun confetti’s – they are literally called Ton, you can check them out here
The glittered cupcake was from my post here – since Emily’s favorite color was (dark) pink, I knew this would be the perfect project to use it on! I was hoping to include one of my handcrafted matching scented cupcake necklace; I have emailed Jennifer to ensure that is ok first though.
I hope she likes it! I will be including a personal message for her, and even some Canadian flag stickers in the envelope for her too that she can share with her little sister 🙂
That’s all for this project – thanks for stopping by & see you next time!
Last week I participated in the Share Handmade Kindness challenge hosted by Jennifer McGuire Ink. The first week was to create something handmade for a friend or family member. This week is the second week for the challenge, this week we are to share a handmade project with someone who works in the community. I just recently discovered these ‘peel-off’ stickers from Elizabeth Crafts. I knew that they would work perfectly with the Mama Elephant sentiment from Carnival Cupcake Toppers for a card to go with the scented cupcake earrings I made for my doctor that worked with me for 4 years through my recovery of a car accident. I just recently moved away and never got a chance to give her something, so I knew that my little cupcake earrings would be perfect pairing with this card!
I will be doing a video on how to create the card soon so stay up to date by subscribing to my YouTube channel
Hello Stampers,
Just wanted to share with you my latest design team post for Scrapbooks By Design. I love that a lot of the holiday stamp sets from Lawn Fawn can be used throughout the year, and Baaah Humbug is just one example.
You can check out the project, and see all the supplies I used for this card over on the SBD blog – here is the card I made:
