Honeybee Stamps: Alice’s Gingerbread Lane Christmas Gift Tag

I love to spoil my Dad at Christmas; he’s done so much for me that I want to show him how much it meant to me. So each year I try and make each gift just a little extra special with gift wrap and hand made tags that can be kept as keepsakes.

Using Alice’s Gingerbread Lane die set from Honeybee’s Christmas 2024 release, I used basic Kraft cardstock stock, inked some pieces with distress oxide inks to resemble sugar waffle cone roof, and pink glitter paper for icing. Confections just aren’t complete without sprinkles so I added some Crystal Effects to give them and the cherry a shiny glossy finish.

Honey Bee Lovely Layers Hoosier Cabinet

As part of our 2024 Fall Crop & Create Delivered workshops, Honeybee included this amazing Lovely Layers Hoosier Cabinet die set.

Yes, it has a lot of tiny pieces, but the it’s remarkably easy to work with!

Most of my pieces cut beautifully from coloured cardstock, or I used distress inks to color white 80lb cardstock to suit whatever color palette I wanted.

Using Honey Bee Metallic Mix pearls were perfect for the tiny drawer & door knobs. Enamel dots or Nuvo drops or anything you have in your stash could also work beautifully.

To add a festive twist, I pulled out my Lovely Layers Christmas Market Cart add on from Honey Bee and used the Bundt, pine boughs and stocking. Crimson cardstock from Spellbinders and white pieces inked with spun sugar oxide for the dishes and rustic wilderness for the boughs.

Concord & 9th Birthday Bonanza

This is my 3rd fall Crop & Create Delivered event, and one of the workshops was led my Cathy Zielske of Concord & 9th using the stamps, die set & stencil set.

I had a ton of trouble getting the white embossing to look as good as Cathy’s, but it was better than horrible as Gina K always says, so I decided to do my best and just finish the card

All Concord & 9th color cardstock is from the newest release – watermelon, eucalyptus, rainforest, creamsicle

Pink Fresh Studio Fruitalicious Washi Card

I just love these Washi panels from Pink Fresh Studio! When creating these I always mount the washi panels on 110lb cardstock to give them almost a chipboard ephemera feel.

For this batch, I mounted the washi ephemera pieces on the stitched Arch diecut from My Favorite Things, and added just a hint of a stenciled background using Lost Shadow distress oxide ink set the perfect backdrop for these gorgeous pieces.

My Favorite Things Jenoblade Stuck Together Mini Slimline Cactus Card

Jenoblade hits another stamp set design out of the park with this Stuck Together stamp set & coordinating dies.

The images are a great size to use as a single focal images or together like I did.

Slime line finished card measures 3.5” x 6” and I used a stitched die to give a subtle frame along with a bit of squeezed lemon distress oxide ombré shading.

A few clear droplets to finish it off and it’s ready for sharing!

My Favorite Things MFT Food Truck ~ Ice Cream!

My Favorite Things has been hitting it out of the park with their card kits. This FoodTruck Kit collection was no different.

This collection was so cute I purchased the kit and all the add-on’s available

The first project I created was this ice cream truck. Pink is my favourite colour and works well with the sweet treats theme.

Although there are tiny pieces this was quite easy to assemble. I used the design team’s projects as inspiration and created this card.

A bit of white gel pen and voila! An easy project that was fun to create!

My Favorite Things MFT Squeeze The Day

Jenoblade is my favorite illustrator with the My Favorite Things team. I just love the chubby adorable critter sets she creates – and each set has supporting images to easily create many different scenes.

This card was inspired by one of the design team members projects (nickynoocards) from the release. And with summer just around the corner here in the Pacific Northwest I was inspired to create with this set as soon as I got it.

I very often make cards with no sentiment so that I can keep them on hand for whatever occasion may come up.

This stamp & coordinating die set is available on the My Favorite Things website now – thanks for taking the time to stop by! 💛

Honeybee Stamps Busy Bee Slimline Card

With a nome de plume of “Wendie Bee”, I just had to have these Busy Bee stamps & coordinating dies from Honeybee Stamps.

I like to create cards without sentiments often so that I have a selection of cards handy for whatever I need.

Looking back across my posts lately, you’ll know I am a big fan of the mini slimline card. It’s great for using smaller images to create a scene without having a lot of white space.

Craft O Clock Mists Of Toolbox Town Steampunk I spired Masculine Mini Slimline Card

Every once in a while I come across a collection that may not be my usual go to theme / style, but I could not resist this Mists Of The Toolbox collection from Craft O’Clock when I saw it in my local craft store.

Over the years I have accumulated a great variety of ‘steampunk’ and masculine style dies. So I pulled them out to accent the hot air balloon I had chosen from the “extras” collection cut aparts. Yes, I hate fussy cutting, but these are absolutely worth it. So that the focal piece can appear more seamless, I inked it with Tea Dye distress ink, then used a gold pigment ink pad and ran it along the edge to give it just that little extra pop.

To add a little pop of color I distressed a panel of embossed cardstock in a patina green color I had in my scraps. It was just enough to break the monotony of all the neutrals but still keep with the theme.

Taylored Expressions Buds & Blossoms Stencil Quad Friendship Card

Spring is officially here for me in Vancouver, Canada so I thought I would pull out one of my favorite stencil sets from Taylored Expressions. This set was part of a Crop & Create workshop, and I have gotten so much use from it!

I was inspired both by blooming daffodils, spring colors and a similar colour palette I saw while scrolling through Pinterest.

Taylored Expressions stencil quads are great for getting multiple cards in one sitting! All I needed to do with this panel was mount it on a die cut scalloped frame, add a hot sentiment and a few clear enamel droplets and the card was done.
