I am absolutely obsessed with how whimsical these turned out. The combination of the giant lake creature, layered underwater scenes, and soft blended backgrounds gives these cards such a playful storybook feel while still looking super clean and modern.

For these projects, I used products from the Hero Arts Don’t Stop Believing Collection — a release filled with “legendary fun” featuring scenic lake landscapes, playful sentiments, and the absolutely adorable Gentle Giant die set.  

The first two cards are dimensional underwater scene cards featuring the Gentle Giant swimming through layered sandy lake bottoms and seaweed details. I love how the folded scene design adds so much movement and depth — it almost feels like peeking into an underwater diorama! The bright teals paired with the soft ink blended blues make the whole scene feel calm, magical, and just a little mischievous.

For the backgrounds, I created soft layered water effects with ink blending and curved masks inspired by the scenic layering elements from the collection. The underwater plants and tiny rocks add just enough detail without taking attention away from the star of the show — this sweet legendary lake creature.

The sentiments from the Unbelievably Awesome products were the perfect finishing touch. “You’re Unbelievably Awesome” and “You’re a Legend” fit these cards so perfectly and really lean into the fun personality of the collection.
