Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine with Spectrum Noir Markers

It’s been absolutely gorgeous in Vancouver this winter, temperatures hovering around 10 degrees since January while the rest of east coast has been getting tortured with insane amounts of snow and crazy cold temperatures!

That is what inspired me to make this card from Lawn Fawn, using their Hello Sunshine stamps & coordinating dies.  I have been coloring with my Spectrum Noir markers and I have been really starting to get the hang of it. While I still have tons to learn, I was happy with the way these little tweety birds turned out so I knew I had to use them on a card right away!

Lawn Fawn Stinkin Cute Skunk 4bar Note Card

How many times have you heard “that’s so stinkin cute”? Well, now there’s a stamp for that!! Lawn Fawn had released this exclusive stamp as a free gift with purchase for Black Friday, but I am sure it will be available in stores soon (they did the same thing with the ‘You Color My World’ stamp set a few years ago too)

This little mini set truly is ‘stinkin cute’!  The card I created could be used for Valentine’s Day, or just for a general everyday just because card.

Here is what I used to make this card:

Lawn Fawn

  • Stinkin Cute mini stamp set
  • Large & Small Stitched Ovals dies
  • Journaling card die (strip of hearts)
  • Let’s Polka In The Dar 6×6 paper pad
  • Lobster dye ink pad
  • Licorice dye ink pad

Misc supplies

Cupcake earrings gift & card in one!

Card making is admittedly, not my only crafting endeavor… I also have a jewelry business Miss Kitty Creations.  I create tiny *scented* (yes, scented) mini faux food jewelry.  I make waffles, cakes, pies, cupcakes and seasonal pieces like shortbread Christmas tree earrings.  And they ALL smell exactly as they should: pumpkin pie smells just like pumpkin pie, and the cupcakes are to die for scented to match the icing.

Here are some examples of what I make:

When I discovered Lawn Fawn I just knew I needed to find a way to use their adorable items with my jewelry.  And I finally came up with something:  card and gift in one!! These cards have a trap door that allows the recipient to get their jewelry out of the card without having to destroy the card.

Here is what I used to create this adorable gift card holder:

  • Lawn Fawn:
    • Hello Sunshine collection patterned paper “April”
    • Stitched journaling card die
    • Admit One (sentiment)
    • Birthday Tags (pull out tab)
    • Pink Lemonade lawn trimmings

Lawn Fawn Friday: Here’s The Scoop CAS Card

It’s Fawny Friday everyone!! Summer is nearing an end, but not in my craft room!! I found some inspiration on Pinterest recently that lead me to this card – I am super happy with the way it turned out!!

I used Lawn Fawn’s Here’s the Scoop photopolymer stamp set – I really wish they had coordinating dies for this set as I had to fussy cut each piece and layered them together.  The coloring was done with colored pencils and mineral oil (I used baby oil) for the pieces that I wanted to add dimension to. Check out my previous post on how to color with colored pencils to get a look just like copic markers – it’s super easy : )

Lawn Fawn: Year Four & Hello Sunshine

When I saw Lawn Fawn’s new releases from CHA this year I knew I just had to have all of them!! Especially the Hello Sunshine collection.  I love that the Year Four stamp set also has coordinating dies!

I stamped the images on white card stock (except the hippo which was stamped on Stampin Up Smoky Slate), colored all the images with colored pencils using the blending technique I showcased in this past post .  I just LOVE the bright happy colors of the Hello Sunshine paper collection – I had a hard time choosing which one to use on this card to compliment the critters!!!

Stampin Up Petite Petals in my pocket

A family friend sent me this denim pocket stamp to cheer me up. I thought it would pair perfectly with Stampin Up’s new Petite Petals stamp & punch set. I also used the teeny tiny flower punch and the stamp from the Sale-A-Bration set. The banner and sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Here is the card I made with it & sent her to say thank you:

Home Sweet Home with Lawn Fawn

I have been SOOOO busy lately that I haven’t had time to post my latest creation using my Home Sweet Home set by Lawn Fawn!!  I love this set – it is so versatile that you can use it for “We’ve Moved” cards, new baby cards, or like my example – all occasion / just because!

Summer is hte time for new releases it seems, and Lawn Fawn will be debuting their new line May 4th.  *does happy dance*  There are sneak previews all this week on their blog – you should check out the nifty paper tearing tool that they feature today.  Very cool.

Until next time stampers!

I love Lawn Fawn!!!

I love Lawn Fawn!!!  These are my creations from the new “Home Sweet Home” stamp set.  I really love that there is a matching die for so many of the stamp images too!!  And, the dies are unique in that there is a little bit of white space around image when die cut to look like they were fussy cut too.

This Home Sweet Home set is SOOOO versatile! I really love the assortment of ‘decorations’ in the set, it really allows you to create a unique, personalized project.  Check out Kelly’s intro video showing all the stamps, coordinating dies & different examples she shows.

Here is what I made with this great set so far:

This card was pretty much a direct case from Kelly’s card from the intro video; here is what I used:

  • Stampin Up Pool Party ink (to sponge background color)
  • Colored pencils using blending technique here
  • Lawn Fawn Home Sweet Home Stamp & Die set

There are two more cards-in-progress on my work table right now too.  I also have stamped a bunch of leaves, branches and many different houses – that way I can just go crazy designing cards.  It’s much easier once all the elements are all done to design cards layouts – I just place all the bits & pieces on with tweezers, then move tham around until I get a layout I love.  **Fun** !!!!

I have ordered the Summertime Charms stamp & die set as well.  I cannot WAIT to get it!!

Until next time stampers!
