Craft workshop & classes in New Westminster & Vancouver area

Are you looking for something different?  If you have ever thought about trying a new craft or hobby then I have a workshop for that.  Are you looking to improve the skills you already have? I have a workshop for that too! Join me and some friends, or meet new people

New Westminster & Fraser Valley Stampers & Papercrafters is for anyone who is creative and looking for inspiration and ideas to create handmade greeting cards & papercrafts (like party favors, post it note holders and home decor like wreaths & banners).
I especially enjoy helping people who say “I could never do that, I’m not creative.” to discover that they CAN make cards that look good. I have a “there are no mistakes in stamping” attitude that always makes for a fun environment for learning card making and papercrafting.
This group has many events to choose from hosted on various week night, and weekends, I teach card making workshops once or twice every month, and also host a “Crop & Swap” night twice a month along with other ad hoc DIY workshops like making wreaths, stamping on candles, gift boxes and other great gift ideas.

All workshops and crafting classes are currently held at my apartment in the heart of Uptown New Westminster. I am located only a few blocks away from Columbia sky train station, and there is a bus stop directly out front of the building that runs to New Westminster sky train station often.

Here is a quick overview of a few of the workshops I host.

Crop & Swap Social: The “Crop & Swap” is a night of socializing and crafting. Bring your own project to work on and we can get together and just be social while doing what we love: crafting!!

Card Making Workshops: At each workshop I will teach various stamping & crafting techniques including: ‘wet’ & ‘dry’ embossing, die cutting using the Big Shot, paper piercing, triple layering, while showing you tips & tricks along the way! Each workshop fee will include: All materials needed to create the project AND detailed instructions that you can take home to re-create the cards again, and of course, lots of fun!
Unleash your creativity and learn more about card making & meet new friends!

Don’t want to travel? No problem, I can come to you! Just get a group together of people of 4 or more and I will come to your place and host the workshop.  The best part of being the hostess:  you can earn FREE product for yourself! Call me to find out how & to book your party now.

Stampin Up Workshops in New Westminster & Fraser Valley area now available!

Yes – you read that correctly, I’ve moved!! I am now located back in New Westminster, British Columbia and providing classes & private workshops to the Vancouver, New Westminster, Surrey and Coquitlam areas.

I can’t believe it!! My first video tutorial!! It’s *really* basic, so be gentle with me – but I have an even better understanding of what I will do different next time so each video will get better and better!!

Montreal Card Workshop: Occasions Catalog Party

Hiya Stampers!!  Well, it’s still winter here in Montreal and the roads have been ridiculously icy – but thankfully not so bad that people couldn’t drive.  I held a workshop recently to celebrate the release of Stampin Up’s new Occasion catalog.

Masculine Valentine’s Day Card Workshop Reveal

Hiya Stampers!! It is still FREEZING in Montreal.  Like gross cold.  Which, as always, gives me a great excuse to not have to go out, which means I can play in my craft room!! Yay!  I just moved to Montreal on October, and everyone tells me that this is an unusually cold winter.  Like that makes me feel much better – it was TWENTY degree difference from back home (Vancouver) to here last week.  o_O

Stampin Up Valentine’s card Montreal style

Well, it’s -19 in Montreal today.  Yep. MINUS NINETEEN!!  Which gives me the perfect reason to not go out, and stay in my craft room all day!!!

Now that the holidays are over I am able to host workshops again.  I have two this month that are going to be great:

  1. The Official release party for the new Occasions catalog: Saturday January 11th, 2014 in Montreal, Quebec (“NDG”) $20 per person

    Using all the latest items from the NEW Occasions catalog this workshop will feature 4 projects: 3 cards and one 3D project (like a post it note holder, or gift box, etc).  But that’s not all!! To celebrate the release of the new catalog, each attendee will receive a free copy of the new catalog and a FREE GOODIE BAG just for attending!

  2. Valentine’s Day card making workshop:  Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 in Montreal Quebec (“NDG”) $15 per person

    Featuring 3 different cards: two feminine and one masculine card, this workshop will feature many different techniques including wet embossing, die cutting and more!

We will be using the limited edition “Follow My Heart” stamp set for this workshop – there is something romantic about the Eiffel Tower is there?!  *sigh*  And being in the French province of Canada, I thought this stamp set was very apropos this year.

Card Making Workshop: For The Birds

Using the owl punch from Stampin Up, this workshop will feature three different cards using one punch. I love this punch – it is so versatile that it was the very first item I bought when I started out!

Here is one of the three card projects we will be making.  I made this card a while ago and the blog post I wrote about it has gotten so much positive feedback that I thought I would include it as a workshop project!  There will also be a Birthday themed card and a wedding themed card using the owl punch as well.  Curious to know how you can use the owl punch to make these?  Register to the workshop and find out  😛

This class is suitable for all levels of crafting experience. All instruction will be done in English, however some stamps and catalogs may be available in French.
