It’s a balmy -1 in Montreal today – I’m sure people were tempted to go out in shorts!! It’s been so cold here that -1 seems like spring weather π
I have been really loving the new trend of water color that has been making a strong come back in the crafting community. Stampin Up has a beautiful new collection of watercolor inspired DSP (“designer series paper”), which inspired me to make this card, which will be featured as a project at my next workshop
Thank You Stampin Up DIY Watercolor Thank You Card
I used my water brush along with ink pads and watercolor paper to create the middle panel. THe base is crumb cake and the stamp is one of our great photopolymer sets “Another Thank You”

The sun is shining in Montreal today, but it’s still a frost MINUS 19!! Yikes. I miss summer π Which is where I got the inspiration for this card. Created for a birthday card challenge, using Stampin Up colors Chocolate Chip and Pistachio Pudding. The name of the colors inspire the ice cream theme, and I wanted to create something fun – this is what I came up with:
Ice Cream Retro Polka Dots card made using Cupcake punch & Stampin Up Circle Swing Flip It Thnlits
Here is what I used to create this card: All materials are from Stampin Up

Hiya Stampers!! It is still FREEZING in Montreal. Like gross cold. Which, as always, gives me a great excuse to not have to go out, which means I can play in my craft room!! Yay! I just moved to Montreal on October, and everyone tells me that this is an unusually cold winter. Like that makes me feel much better – it was TWENTY degree difference from back home (Vancouver) to here last week.
So, here is a sneak peek at one of the cards that we will be making in the Valentine’s Day workshop this month using the new “Just Sayin” stamp and die bundle that Stampin Up just released in their new Occasions catalog last week.
Just Sayin Stampin Up ‘Love Ya’ Word Bubble card

It’s summer time in Montreal, and it is HOT outside!Β NOTHING makes a kid scream louder than hearing the ice cream truck coming down the road.
I was inspired by a card made by Andrea on her website, this card just has summer written all over it.Β I have sold this card to stores, and I personally just LOVE this card, so I wanted to share the love by creating a tutorial for you!Β Scroll down to download the free tutorial with step by step instructions on how to make this card yourself.
Stampin Up Ice Cream birthday card made with Cupcake builder punch & pennant parade punch
Look what my girls made in the Mini Workshop I hosted on Monday!Β We had a great time – I mean really, how much more perfect can girls night out be when it includes great company & crafting?!
Each workshop I host as a demonstrator, I always create a tutorial / handout for the participants to take home with them after the workshop so that they can recreate the cards again at home.Β As a little bonus for all you stampers out there, I have included a link to download the PDF tutorials on how to make each card from that workshop!Β Some of the other cards I have featured in other posts also have a PDF tutorial – if you are interested in one, please comment below or message me & I can email you a PDf copy.
Stampin Up Pinwheel sizzlits with Subtles DSP & stripes embossing folder
This card is super cute, but the pinwheel sizzlits can be a serious problem to put together… that is if you don’t know the trick to assembling them!Β Check out this video on the easy way to assemble these little guys with ease and no frustration:Β http://youtu.be/9PCjFyN7-qs
The other WAY COOL technique I taught the group was the “fork bow”.Β Who knew you could use a fork to produce consistent, easy to make bows!!Β I found this YouTube tutorial on how to make easy ribbon bows:Β http://youtu.be/RBza9q1rKRo

Papillion Potpourri window card in pool party with Everyday Enchantment DSP and champagne shimmer mist
The picture of this card doesn’t do this card justice! We used the champagne shimmer paint to add a beautiful hint of shimmer to the front of the card.
Have you been looking for a quick and easy Valentine’s Day card idea that is easy to reproduce?!Β Check out these newest designs – I created these little 3×3 note card sized Valentines in 15 minutes each!Β Yep.Β That’s right.Β 15 minutes.Β Each of these designs require very little fussing about and can be made with household items and basic supplies that won’t break the bank.Β That’s my favorite part about them – cheap & easy!
I got the inspiration for the flags card from the uber talented Kritina Werner; here is the link to the original video tutorial.
I have also created 3×3 note sized Valentine’s Day cards using the oh-so-verstaile Owl punch from Stampin Up!Β There are SOOOO many ways to use this punch you will never run out of ideas for it!!
Here are two of my newest creations:
The owl punch is incredibly versatile and can be used to create a wide variety of critters other than owls!!Β I have seen penguins, bats, super hero’s etc.
Why is it that when you’re eagerly awaiting a package it always is the last one on the delivery route?! *giggle* I swear, I was checking the door to my apartment, and the foyer entrance door every half an hour to make sure I didn’t miss the driver somehow. Pacing to the window and everything!! It was kind of funny in a crazy way now that I look back on it. >_<
I got the box and ripped it open, it was like Christmas!! I immediately started tinkering with what I had gotten.
Using the “Kindness Matters” stamp set, I made this really pretty butterfly card.Β I must give credit to Tami White for the inspiration and tips on how to use clear mount stamps. You can view her video tutorial here: http://youtu.be/NB8RkC-4XAA
It was her tip on how to..ahem… “separate” (cut)Β :O clear mount stamps so that you can use single images.Β Β That is how I was able to stamp the butterflies vertically.
